Privacy

Rosetta is built around a single privacy promise: nothing about you leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Rosetta does not have user accounts, analytics, advertising identifiers, or any other form of personal-data collection. The app does not track you across sessions, devices, or networks.

What network calls the app makes

Exactly one. To keep currency conversion accurate, Rosetta fetches up-to-date exchange rates from the Frankfurter API, a free, public, no-key-required exchange-rate service. This request contains no identifying information beyond what every HTTPS request carries (your IP address, which Frankfurter sees, not us). Once rates are fetched, they are cached on your device and the app continues to work offline.

If you never open the Currency category, Rosetta makes no network calls at all.

What lives on your device

Your favorites — up to ten saved conversions you’ve starred — are stored on the device, in the app’s local storage. Uninstalling Rosetta removes them. They are not synced, backed up to a server, or shared with any third party.

Third-party services

There are none. Rosetta uses no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no social-login providers, and no embedded media. The Frankfurter API call is the entirety of the app’s external surface.

Children

Rosetta is appropriate for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children. The App Store age rating is 4+.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear at this URL with a revision date. Material changes — for example, the addition of a new network call or a new data type — will be flagged in the App Store release notes.
